“The growth that I saw in my daughter when she entered into the toddler program was astounding. She was learning both French and English, speaking three languages at home. She was so happy to go to the centre and didn’t want to leave at the end of the day. I cannot tell you how calm that made me in knowing that she was so well taken care of by the amazing staff at Faith!” Brian C.

Children in this room are just learning how to socialize and do not quite have the understanding of 'sharing' as yet.  Parallel play is the first stage that the toddler group engages in where they will play alongside one another but not together.  As they grow, they will learn to play cooperatively with direction and interactions from the teachers.

Children in the toddler room are learning so much and are in a very busy room that they sometimes become frustrated in their play with each other. The amazing teachers are there to assist them in problem-solving skills and give them the words that they are unable to express.  The teachers take time to teach them sign language as well for those that have not learned the language. This helps lighten the frustration and helps them to communicate with each other. As the children grow, they will acquire many new skills including self-help skills in which they will be able to feed and dress themselves, help in tidying up as well as toileting and potty training. Toddlers are constantly learning which can be seen on a daily basis within this very adaptable and engaging program.

The toddler program strives for a good balance between beginning the child's education with letters and phonic as well as music and French while providing it all through Christian content.  Each day the children will further develop their fine motor skills through colouring, painting, gluing and eating.  They will also develop more stability in their gross motor ability through outdoor play, climbing, hopping and running as well as their intellectual growth through their communication skills and verbal language.
